Do you remember these types of commercials?
If you sat down and told a 13 year old kid now a days that cigarettes were healthy for you, because a doctor said so. They would laugh and ask you what you were smoking. Then probably ask for some.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
It is important to know the definition of insanity, because once you know what it means you can then reflect on your own life and figure out if you are living in insanity”
Since I was a child I have been taught about the Food Pyramid.
Just like most of us I believed the educational system when they said, Drink Milk for strong bones, eat meat for big muscles, or you need salt in your diet! I have finally come to the realization that we should ask ourselves if that way of thinking is the most productive way to think.
“Manage by Outcome” Right?
We as a society have for over a half a century been managing by outcome. As a result more people are getting sick.
We as a society are looking for the most complicated way to solve our problems because we feel our problems are complicated.
I’m no doctor although as I get older I have come to realize that if I put cleaner fuel in my engine my car runs better. What I mean by cleaner fuel is Fruits and Vegetables. There are 3 levels of quality for Fruits and Vegetables. Your lowest level is Store purchased i.e. Safeway, Nob hill, Wal-Mart, etc. Their food is grown using N-P-K (petroleum base fertilizers), toxic pesticides, and environmentally impacting practices. The middle level is Farmers Markets. Normally Certified Organic and has more than just N-P-K, it also has some basic mineral deposits which helps us stay healthier. The highest quality is growing your own food. This is the healthiest because it keeps you active and you know exactly what is going into your food.
Could that be the answer to a healthy life?
Is that all we have to do? Stop listening to the Doctors, media and educational school system.
As I have gotten older and have been able to expand my knowledge in alternative education beside the stuff they feed to us growing up K – College; I have realized that just like with cigarettes, we have been indoctrinated into thinking that the food we eat is healthy.
If the food is so healthy wouldn’t these companies want to express that to us on how they label their food?
If you have any question on how to grow your own food or how to improve your health.
Please give us a call.
Have a Great Grow!
